Dave Schenk has been in this industry since ’95 and during that time has accrued a vast array of skills and experiences, as well as the respect of many events peers.
Dave has stated that his favourite event tool is his team of loyal minions (you’ll see a selection of them at any event!)…but that he also needs his leatherman, gaff tape & whiteboards. Many, many whiteboards!
Dave runs on a combination of the black gold that is Coke, whatever food is put in his hand and adrenaline that can last well past any event. At any event his Leatherman, earplugs, gloves, lanyard, gaff & leccy tape, Berocca and emergency poncho are either on hand or a quick radio call away. Being prepared for anything and one step ahead of most keeps Dave at the top of the game.
Since he began Dave has worked with Switchfoot, Delirious, Third Day, Newsboys, Jars of Clay, Stan Walker, Michael W Smith, Pi the tiger cub, James Morrison, Marina Prior, Guy Sebastian, Toby Mac, Naturally 7 and many more. He now splits his time between raising three gorgeous kids, keeping the kitchen clean for a beautiful wifey and ensuring that Deep Blue Events provides the most unique occasions every time.

Craig Burnett brings something to Deep Blue that is rare and thankfully non-contagious. As a performance professional he is best known as frontman and lead vocalist role in Brisbane jazz giants SCAT. Due not only to his musicality but his daring showmanship and ability to interact with any generation SCAT are the first pick when “real jazz” must be delivered with some “real kick”. SCAT have been seen at Sydney’s Manly Jazz Festival, Brisbane International Jazz Festival, Queensland Music Festival and have an international following.
Offstage Craig has worked in many creative contexts and roles including album and jingle production, marketing design, graphic and prop design, events management, production management and arts workshop delivery. He is formally trained in contemporary voice (Queensland Conservatorium) and has completed business studies.
He has a deep ability to uncover the heart of a message or moment and works to offer that to the audience meaningfully and powerfully. With such a breadth of performance, artistic and production insight he is able to build a great working rapport with stakeholders and event teams AND he has great retro neckties…really great!
Ness has been in the events industry for the last 20 years. Roles have included, stage managing, creative design, artist liaison, catering and wedding coordinating.
During that time, Ness has completed a Bachelor of Nursing and has gone on to specialize in the perioperative field.
While nursing is quite different to running events, Ness has combined the two as she is currently organising the bi-annual Perioperative Nurses of Queensland State conference, which will be held at Toowoomba’s iconic Empire Theatre in May 2017.
